Cultural Competency

In this virtual presentation participants will learn about Indigenous cultures and the impacts of colonization on their traditions and cultural practices. Deanne uses her own family story and the work to reclaim culture alongside the evolution of powwow dance. Through these stories Deanne challenges Canadians to rethink their history and the critical importance of building relationships with the Indigenous community in alignment with the Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
